Check out this video of an astronaut doing a version of “Angie” in space. I remember watching an interview with a panel of olympians, an astronaut, a baseball player, and Rich Froning. Rich got most of the attention as the NASA physical trainer was describing how complicated it is to try and do CrossFit in Space!
More importantly, NASA uses CrossFit to keep their Astronauts healthy. They adapt CrossFit to what they can do with what they have for the purposes that works to improve their lives. While most things in life come with some risk, it is comforting to know that some of the smartest men and women on the planet use CrossFit to stay healthy so they can work better and have a higher quality of life.
