Look forward to your goals with hope and excitement. Use every ounce of heart and nerve and sinew—give everything you have down to your very marrow to your purpose. Write your goals down. Make plans that includes building habits that will help you achieve your goals. Create a community to develop your goals. Build a network of likeminded individuals who, having common goals, work far more efficiently than any one lonely individual.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Once you have obtained your goals continue on to a new purpose. Ask not what the world can do for you, instead ask yourself what does the world expect of you? What specific virtues do you posess that allow you to serve others in a way that only you can? Dedicate yourself to a cause greater than yourself and fight for it, always.

“By working, doing for others simultaneously with the doing of your own work, you make the greatest gain. That is the generous giving or losing of your life which saves it. Don’t put this aside until you are more at liberty. That is slow death.”

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
